NFPA & Color Bar Quick Reference Right To Know Wallet Cards
NFPA – Quick
reference guide combined into one wallet card. An Ideal employee quick
reference tool to communicate the NFPA diamond and the HMIS color bar format,
on one side is the hazard rating system on the other side the hazard rating
explanation guide. This system is
designed to give personnel working with hazardous material a quick reference as
to the proper equipment and precautions needed to handle the material.
The intent of HMIS (Hazardous Material Information System) is to label each
container of material with a color coded placard or sticker rating the
material's HEALTH risks, potential FLAMMABILITY and the material's REACTIVITY to heat, pressure or water.
